Drawing from his deep connection with adidas since childhood, Gary Aspden's
journey with the brand is woven into the fabric of his upbringing in Northern England.
Having witnessed adidas' influence on football and dance club cultures firsthand, Aspden's
affinity for the brand led him to join its ranks in the 1990s.
Initially tasked with managing relationships with prominent figures in entertainment, he later
transitioned into spearheading collaborations, experiences, and other campaigns.
However, it was in 2013 when Aspden made his indelible mark on adidas history by founding adidas Spezial.
This collection, rooted in seasonal capsules inspired by archival adidas styles and Aspden's personal collection,
swiftly gained a devoted following. Recognized for its ability to seamlessly blend the brand's heritage with contemporary design,
adidas Spezial consistently releases unique pieces that bridge the gap between adidas' illustrious past and its promising future.
In celebration of a decade of adidas SPZL, the Spring 2024 DECADE Pack,
exclusively featuring footwear, will hit limited release on May 24th via adidas Confirmed and select adidas SPZL range retailers.
These special editions mark the tenth anniversary,
showcasing updates and tweaks from their predecessors. The pack will feature iconic models like adidas Ardwick SPZL, adidas Blackburn SPZL,
adidas Garwen SPZL, and adidas Lacombe SPZL.
